AFC and VFF officials coordinate operations
Mr. Doojin Sa and Mr. Avi Gupta, representing the AFC Licensing Board, attended the workshop. On behalf of VFF and Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF), there was Mr. Tran Anh Tu - Vice President of VFF, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VPF. In addition, on behalf of the VFF Licensing Board, there was Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Ngoc Vien - Head of the VFF Licensing Board, along with representatives of VFF functional departments and many delegates representing Vietnamese professional football clubs.

Sharing at the workshop, Mr. Tran Anh Tu said that over the past 10 years, the licensing work has been fully implemented by VFF and complied with FIFA and AFC principles, in accordance with the Vietnamese legal system and VFF's charter. From there, it has promoted the development and improved the quality of clubs participating in professional tournaments in Vietnam, fully meeting the licensing and competition criteria of continental and world football.
“Some of the achievements are upgraded stadiums, focused youth training, transparency in governance to have a foundation for football development, creating a premise to advance to the region. In recent times, VFF and clubs have gradually overcome the criteria, licensing work is carried out according to the requirements of AFC and VFF. However, it is also necessary to recognize the limitations in the context of AFC raising standards. This is the time for us to be more determined and try harder to overcome the challenges,” Mr. Tran Anh Tu emphasized.
Meanwhile, Mr. Doojin Sa - Head of AFC Professional Football Department shared: "Over the years, VFF has effectively implemented club licensing, laying a solid foundation for the professionalization of football. This workshop is an opportunity for delegates to acquire knowledge as well as share opinions and feedback to further improve the licensing process. I hope that all of you will participate in the discussion actively and with high concentration."
Mr. Doojin Sa added that the AFC club competitions have been reformed and launched successfully, opening a new chapter for professional football in Asia. “We have high expectations for Vietnamese clubs to seize this opportunity and perform strongly in the continental arena,” Mr. Doojin Sa expressed.

The workshop program includes the following contents: an overview of club licensing in Vietnam; an update on the regulations for participating in AFC club tournaments; in-depth discussions on licensing criteria groups including finance, facilities, sports , administrative and legal human resources; and a special topic on youth football development. The workshop also spends time discussing and summarizing, aiming to improve management capacity, standardize club operations and enhance professionalism and transparency in the Vietnamese football system.

VFF Deputy General Secretary, Head of VFF Licensing Administration Department, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha presented an overview of the implementation of club licensing in Vietnam.

According to the orientation, VFF will continue to accompany and take specific actions to improve youth training capacity and increase transparency in licensing activities. At the same time, coordinate with AFC to improve the quality of professional football in Vietnam in the coming period.
