In the first 9 months of 2025, An Giang tourism continued to develop strongly, excellently completing 94.8% of the yearly plan, positively contributing to the overall growth of the economy .

The number of international visitors to An Giang reached nearly 1,239 million, up 63.4% over the same period last year, exceeding the annual plan by 1%. Domestic tourists welcomed over 18.7 million tourists, up 16.6% over the same period, reaching 94.4% of the annual plan. Total revenue from tourism was about VND 51,871 billion, up 75.9% over the same period, exceeding the annual plan by 32%.

In addition to the achievements, during the development process, An Giang tourism still faces some challenges and limitations such as the lack of synchronous investment in transport infrastructure in tourist areas and spots. In addition to Phu Quoc special zone, the remaining localities lack modern, international-class entertainment, recreation - resort - shopping - culinary complexes in the context of constantly changing tourist needs, increasingly demanding quality, experience, diversity and uniqueness.

The province lacks new tourism products and services, night tourism products to serve tourists to increase the ability to attract, compete and prolong the length of stay of tourists. In addition, the number of small and medium enterprises in the tourism industry accounts for a high proportion, leading to limited competitiveness, lack of resources to develop products, promote, and preferential policies to attract tourists.
