An Giang calls for investment in waste treatment and clean water supply in Phu Quoc

On the afternoon of September 22 at Phu Quoc special economic zone, Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ngo Cong Thuc, along with leaders of departments, branches and sectors, received and worked with the Korean JAUD Urban Planning and Design Company and the Chinese Biran CG Environmental Services Company to learn about investment in waste and wastewater treatment and clean water supply in An Giang.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ngo Cong Thuc was pleased to welcome the Korean JAUD Urban Planning and Design Company and the Chinese Biran CG Environmental Services Company to explore investment cooperation opportunities with An Giang province. At the same time, he introduced an overview of the socio -economic situation, potentials and strengths of An Giang province, Phu Quoc special economic zone, etc.

Mr. Wei Xuanyu, Vice President of Biran CG Environmental Services Company of China, said that Phu Quoc generates about 350 tons of waste every day. Meanwhile, the company's design of burning about 400 tons/day is appropriate. The company uses modern technology, burning 1,000 tons of waste will generate 446KW of electricity. Regarding the field of clean water supply and wastewater treatment, Mr. Wei Xuanyu hopes that through this meeting, there will be an opportunity to cooperate with Phu Quoc leaders and An Giang leaders to build wastewater and waste treatment in the locality...

Mr. Kim Do Yeon, Chairman of JAUD Urban Planning and Design Company of Korea, said that the company has a professional support system. Hopefully, with experience and modern technology, it will help develop green - clean - smart in An Giang, especially Phu Quoc Island.
