The Ho Chi Minh City Film Festival (HIFF) was held for the first time, as part of the strategy to develop culture and cinema in Ho Chi Minh City. Over a week, the event aimed to honor revolutionary Vietnamese cinema, while discovering and nurturing young talents at home and abroad. On this occasion, HIFF also expanded opportunities for domestic cinema professionals to exchange and learn from each other through seminars.
