Vietnam Social Security deploys 2 administrative procedures on social insurance on VNeID application

Vietnam Social Security has just issued Document No. 2546/BHXH-CSXH to its affiliated units and Social Security of provinces and cities on the implementation of administrative procedures in the field of social insurance policies on the VNeID application.

This is an activity to implement Plan No. 02-KH/BCĐTW dated June 19, 2025 of the Central Steering Committee on science, technology development, innovation and digital transformation; aiming to promote interconnected, synchronous, fast and effective digital transformation, meeting the requirements of restructuring the apparatus of the political system.

Specifically, there are 2 administrative procedures in the field of implementing social insurance policies deployed on the VNeID application, including:

1. Resolving maternity benefits for employees who quit their jobs before giving birth or adopting a child.

2. Resolve the transfer of benefits to other locations for people receiving monthly pensions and social insurance benefits and people waiting to receive monthly pensions and benefits.

For effective implementation, the Director of Vietnam Social Security requires Social Security of provinces, cities and affiliated units to seriously implement a number of contents:

For provincial social insurance:

- Report to the Provincial People's Committee to direct the Department of Health and the Department of Justice to share data related to the settlement of sickness and maternity benefits according to the provisions of Clause 1 and Clause 2, Article 5 of Decision No. 69/QD-TTg dated January 10, 2025 of the Prime Minister.

- Guide the grassroots Social Insurance and related units to assign specific responsibilities to each department and individual in receiving records, resolving maternity benefits, transferring benefits, and at the same time responding to the record status to the VNeID application according to the correct procedure.

- Coordinate with news agencies, newspapers, and media to propagate to employees and pensioners and social insurance beneficiaries about the advantages of performing 2 administrative procedures on the VNeID application.

- Timely report any problems arising during the implementation process to the Provincial People's Committee and Vietnam Social Security; periodically on the last day of each month, summarize the implementation results and send them to Vietnam Social Security (through the Social Security Policy Implementation Board).

- The Vietnam Social Security Office is assigned to advise on the announcement of administrative procedures and online public services for 2 procedures on the VNeID application, including:

1. Resolving maternity benefits for employees who quit their jobs before giving birth or adopting a child;

2. Resolve the transfer of benefits to other locations for people receiving monthly pensions and social insurance benefits and those waiting to receive them.

Units under Vietnam Social Security shall carry out relevant contents according to their assigned functions and tasks. The Social Security Policy Implementation Board shall preside over and coordinate with relevant units to grasp the situation and promptly propose solutions to handle problems arising during the implementation process.
