The Dutch striker is yet to start a game for the Red Devils in the 2025/26 season.

Zirkzee's absence from the game has left him out of the Netherlands squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

With the 2026 World Cup approaching, the former Bologna striker is keen to impress in the second half of the season.

Remember in the previous campaign, Zirkzee only scored 3 goals in the Premier League. However, after a hamstring injury in April, he was continuously ignored by the Portuguese coach.

In fact, entering the new season, Zirkzee has only appeared from the bench 3 times in the Premier League and was not even a starter against Grimsby in the second round of the English League Cup.

Coach Amorim prioritized using new players Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha, leaving the Dutch striker confused as to why he was forgotten.

If the situation does not improve by winter, Zirkzee wants to move to a new environment to be able to play football more.

Napoli were linked with Zirkzee last summer before turning their attention to Hojlund. Juventus, Como and PSV Eindhoven have also shown interest.
