Da Nang City Party Secretary appointed as Dak Lak Provincial Party Secretary

On the afternoon of October 16, at the Conference to announce the Politburo 's Decisions on personnel work, Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Party Central Committee's Organization Commission Le Minh Hung presented the Politburo's decision appointing Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee, to hold the position of Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee Secretary for the 2025-2030 term.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet expressed his deep gratitude to the Politburo, the Central Party Secretariat, the Central Organizing Committee and the Party and State leaders for their attention, trust and entrustment of the great responsibility of being the head of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee.

Mr. Triet said that the assigned task is both an honor and a heavy responsibility in response to the requirements of development, especially in implementing the commitments and goals of the Provincial Party Committee.

The new Secretary of Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee hopes to continue to receive the attention, leadership and direction of the Central Government, previous leaders and the help and support of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, agencies and units of Dak Lak province.

Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet promised to make every effort, continuously study, be responsible for his work, continue the achievements that Dak Lak province has achieved and strive to overcome difficulties to fulfill the tasks assigned by the Party and people.

Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet (49 years old, from the old Quang Nam province), has a degree in Advanced Political Theory, Master's degree in Business Administration, and Silicate Technology Engineer.

During his working career, he held many positions in Da Nang city (old) such as Secretary of Da Nang Youth Union, Secretary of Lien Chieu District Party Committee, Chairman of Da Nang City Labor Federation, Chief of Office of Da Nang City Party Committee, Secretary of Hai Chau District Party Committee.

In October 2020, Mr. Triet was elected to hold the position of Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee.

In December 2020, Mr. Triet was elected Chairman of the People's Council of Da Nang city.

In January 2021, Mr. Triet was elected as an alternate member of the 13th Party Central Committee, term 2021-2026.

In January 2024, Mr. Triet was assigned by the Politburo to hold the position of Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee (old).

In June, after the administrative boundary merger between Da Nang and Quang Nam, Mr. Triet was appointed to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of the new Da Nang city.

On September 6, Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

On September 17, the Politburo appointed Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet to hold the position of Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
