Car license plate 65A-388.88 was suddenly stopped from auction midway.

This afternoon (September 25), talking to VietNamNet reporter , Mr. TT (residing in Dong Nai, a participant in the car license plate auction) said that he planned to bid for license plate 65A-388.88 ( Can Tho ) in the last seconds of the session, but was unsuccessful.

"I was planning to bid for the license plate at the last second, but when there were only 6 minutes left, I suddenly received a notice on the website that the auction was stopped due to suspicion of price gouging," Mr. TT shared.

Mr. T. was quite surprised when he received this notice, because since the beginning of the auction, there were only 8 bids. The bids from the other 3 players were quite calm, each bid was only 5 million VND.

"The player with the code VPA-N4UHRE started with 40 million VND, about 2 minutes later, the player with the code VPA-KHN12G raised the price of the license plate to 45 million VND. The surprising thing happened when the player with the code VPA-9OVY4R raised the amount to 50 million VND, then the code KHN12G paid 5 consecutive bids up to 75 million VND," Mr. T. recounted.

As soon as the auction was stopped, Mr. T. received a notice from Vietnam Auction Joint Stock Company on his phone number with the following content:

"The auction of car license plate 65A-388.88 has been stopped. We will notify customers in detail as soon as possible."

According to Mr. T., no matter what reason the auction is stopped for, when it is reorganized, he hopes the auction unit will keep the same number of participants as it is now.

"If we reorganize and allow more people who have not registered to compete, it will be a disadvantage for those who registered from the beginning," Mr. T. expressed.

On the auction organizer side, Vietnam Auction Joint Stock Company said that the unit will announce the reason for stopping the auction when the sessions end on September 25.

The company previously put 48 plates up for auction on September 25.

At the last auction time of the same morning (from 10:30 to 11:30), there was a surprise when the car license plate 30K-566.11 was "priced" at 40 million VND. This is the lowest winning price since the start of the car license plate auction.

Also at this time, Ho Chi Minh City's license plate 51K - 899.99 won the highest price with 2.740 billion VND, followed by the "four 9" license plate of Quang Ninh province winning 1.165 billion VND.

During the 8-9am and 9:15-10:15am time slots, there were not many fluctuations in winning prices when the 60K - 388.88 license plate of Dong Nai province was paid 500 million VND, or the 30K-599.99 license plate ( Hanoi City) was paid 1.790 billion VND.
