HNN.VN - On the afternoon of October 1, at the hall of the People's Committee of An Cuu Ward, the People's Committee of Hue City organized a ceremony to present a Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the City People's Committee to Ms. Chau The Lieu Trang, residing at 24/26 Vo Thi Sau, Thuan Hoa Ward. The award is to recognize her noble gesture, spirit of sharing and supporting people during the recent storm No. 10.

During September 27-28, when storm Bualoi (storm No. 10) caused widespread flooding, Ms. Trang arranged free accommodation for affected residents at the Poetic Hue Hotel (24/26 Vo Thi Sau). Thanks to that, 8 residents of An Cuu ward from low-lying areas were evacuated to safe accommodation during the storm.

At the ceremony, representatives of city leaders, departments, branches and relevant units attended, congratulated and awarded certificates of merit to the honored individuals.

Ms. Chau The Lieu Trang shared that she only wanted to contribute a small part to help people overcome difficulties. The recognition from the city leaders is a great source of encouragement for her and the community to continue spreading the spirit of mutual love.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of An Cuu ward also awarded Certificates of Merit to 2 individuals with achievements in preventing and fighting storm No. 10.
