• Promote culture, affirm tourism brand
  • Positioning Ca Mau tourism brand in the overall national tourism
  • New power for sustainable tourism development

Assessing the recent increase in the number of visitors to Ca Mau, especially during holidays, Tet and summer, Mr. Duong Van Luc, Manager of Gia Hung Hotel (Ly Van Lam Ward), shared: “Ca Mau has its own advantages that no other place has. Tourists always want to find the southernmost point with the sacred cape symbol, while combining experiences with many other services such as: accommodation, cuisine , eco-tourism... With the current development momentum, I believe Ca Mau will increasingly affirm its position on the tourism map of the Mekong Delta region”.

According to Mr. Luc, in addition to upgrading infrastructure, Ca Mau needs to focus on training professional tourism human resources to better serve the needs of tourists for relaxation and experience. This creates a competitive advantage, so that tourists are satisfied and come back.

From the perspective of a direct investment enterprise, Ms. Ngo Huynh Trang, Director of Ca Mau Ecotourism Company Limited (Ca Mau - ECO), commented: “The biggest strength of Ca Mau is the mangrove ecosystem, along with a rich community culture. Tourists coming here are very excited to participate in experiential activities such as: taking a boat through the forest, enjoying fish, shrimp, crab right at the farm or participating in amateur music. This is a typical product that needs to be invested in and promoted more strongly.”

Representative of the travel agency, Ms. Duong Ngoc Thoang, Head of Soha Travel Can Tho Office, Ca Mau branch, said: "The tour and route linkage creates favorable conditions for local tourism. After merging operations in Bac Lieu and Ca Mau, the company designed tours stretching from the West to the South. Tourists can visit the Bac Lieu wind power field, explore the U Minh Ha ecosystem, and end the journey at Dat Mui."

Expressing her hope for the future, when transport infrastructure and services are invested more heavily, Ms. Thoang added: “We especially hope to soon exploit tours to Hon Khoai Island, which has beautiful scenery and historical value. This will be an outstanding product, contributing to diversifying choices for tourists.”

Since the beginning of the year, Ca Mau province has welcomed over 6.76 million visitors, an increase of 15.4% over the same period in 2024; total revenue reached 6,821 billion VND, an increase of 16.13%. This result affirms the strong breakthrough of the local tourism industry, exceeding the set target and positively contributing to socio-economic development. In 2025, Ca Mau aims to welcome about 8 million visitors, with total revenue reaching 8,585 billion VND, an increase of 16.83% over 2024. This is an important foundation for the province to orient tourism to become a spearhead economic sector, creating a spillover effect to many other fields.
