(NADS) - The People's Committee of Binh Duong province has just held a press conference to inform about the conference to announce the "Planning of Binh Duong province for the period 2021-2030 with a vision to 2050", in which the province aims to become a centrally-run city.
At the press conference, Mr. Vo Anh Tuan, Chief of Office of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee, said: It is expected that on September 26, 2024, Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee will organize the announcement of Binh Duong Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 at the Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center.
This is an important event to introduce the vision, overall development orientation and investment attraction; promote Binh Duong to international friends, create motivation to implement strategic breakthroughs in the coming time based on the foundation of digital transformation, green, smart and sustainable development.
Also at the press conference, Mr. Pham Trong Nhan, Director of the Department of Planning and Investment of Binh Duong province, shared important information about the province's development planning. Accordingly, this planning has been built on solid strategic orientations, in conjunction with the national planning, sectoral planning, as well as the Southeast regional planning approved by the Prime Minister .
According to Mr. Nhan, the planning is built on 6 development pillars with 37 tasks, 5 integrated strategies and development according to the structural model: 1 development pillar, 2 ecological corridors, 3 connecting belts, 4 dynamic centers and 5 development zones.
Previously, on August 3, Binh Duong province was officially approved by the Prime Minister for the planning period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 in Decision No. 790/QD-TTg.
According to this decision, Binh Duong aims to become a centrally-governed city by 2030, aiming to become one of the dynamic and comprehensive development centers of the Southeast Asian region, leading in the field of science, technology and innovation. To realize this goal, Binh Duong will focus on developing modern industrial and service centers, developing a synchronous, smart and sustainable socio-economic and urban infrastructure system, aiming to build a prosperous and modern society, ensuring national defense, security and social order.
In terms of vision to 2050, Binh Duong will become a modern, sustainable industrial and service urban center, a favorite destination for global enterprises in the field of high-tech industry and industrial services. The province also strives to become one of the locomotives promoting national economic development, with the main growth drivers from industry, services and innovation.
The series of events on September 26 will include many activities such as: inauguration of key projects connecting the region (Bach Dang 2 Bridge connecting Binh Duong with Dong Nai province, Bac Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang dynamic road), announcement of provincial planning, groundbreaking of key projects (A1 roundabout, Cay Truong Industrial Park, ...), international exhibition fair, ... with the participation of the Prime Minister, leaders of ministries, central agencies, localities in the Southern Key Economic Zone and twinned localities and the business community, corporations, large domestic and international investors, strategic investors of the province and representatives of the local community. The event will also be held online to more than 200 cities with smart city development strategies in the world ICF community.
With such importance, this series of events has the participation of about 1,000 delegates with 400 international exhibition booths and 1,000 partner businesses displayed at the WTC Expo Exhibition Center. At the planning announcement conference, there will be main events such as Binh Duong telling the story of its development aspirations, with the hope that Binh Duong will develop further in the future.
