Photo: Ben Rung Bridge Reaches Far - Author: Duong Van Toan To celebrate the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day (May 13, 1955 - May 13, 2025), the 50th anniversary of National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the Hai Phong Literature and Arts Association organizes the Hai Phong Art Photography Contest and Exhibition 2025, with the theme "Hai Phong before the new era". The contest is sponsored by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.
Purpose
Find valuable photographic works about the country and people of Hai Phong city, which is developing in the new era, and at the same time improve the quality of artistic photography creations of Hai Phong city.
Topic
Reflecting the aspiration to rise in economic, cultural, social, production, national security and defense development of Hai Phong city.
- The authors are Vietnamese citizens, professional and amateur photographers. Members of the organizing committee and jury are not allowed to participate.
- The author submitting the photo accepts the regulations in the contest announcement.
- Photos taken within the last 5 years.
- Includes single photos and photo sets, color or black and white photos.
- Each contestant can submit up to 20 works.
- Photos are not collaged, have no changed content, are not bordered, signed, or have any other special symbols.
- Photos submitted to the contest must be in digital format, JPG format with the longest dimension of the photo being at least 3000px, resolution 300dpi, and capacity not exceeding 5Mb.
- Each photo set is considered a work, consisting of 5 - 8 photos with a mockup. The photo set must have a caption (maximum 200 words) introducing the content of the photo set and a caption for each photo.
- The author sent both single photo and photo series, the single photo does not match the photo in the series.
- Award-winning photos and exhibition photos will be printed by the Organizing Committee for display.
Photos that have won awards or been exhibited at competitions sponsored by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists will not be accepted.
The author is responsible for the copyright and authorship of the work when submitting the work to the contest.
The Organizing Committee accepts entries at the website: 5W Photo - Hai Phong before the new era, from March 20, 2025, to April 20, 2025.
The judging period will be held in April 2025.
Exhibition opening in May 2025 (Announcement to be made later).
- The contest has 1 First prize; 2 Second prizes; 3 Third prizes and 5 Consolation prizes.
- The prize includes a certificate and cash.
- Works winning third prize or higher will be awarded a certificate, have points for membership, and be awarded titles by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.
- Works that win encouragement prizes and are exhibited will be granted a certificate by the Hai Phong Literature and Arts Association, paid royalties, and will be counted for admission to the Hai Phong Photography Association.
