The program kicked off with the making of 10,000 moon cakes by the students themselves. Each cake is not only a material gift, but also conveys love, encouragement and hope for a bright future for the less fortunate children.
Mr. Nguyen Phuc Dai, Head of the program's organizing committee, shared: "As General Secretary To Lam emphasized: 'Caring for disadvantaged children must be considered a political responsibility, a humanitarian commitment, and also a measure of the country's civilization and progress'. We consider that spirit as a guiding principle for young people to act, so that each volunteer activity is not only about giving material things, but also spreading responsibility and kindness in the community."
At Ha Dong General Hospital, the “Sharing Full Moon” festival brought a joyful and warm atmosphere to more than 200 children being treated. Lion dance performances, lantern processions, painting, statue painting, and hundreds of gifts given to the children helped them gain more strength, joy, and hope. The organizers also collected donations to support children and people affected by the recent storm No. 10 (Bualoi).

According to the Organizing Committee's statistics, this year's program has given away more than 2,000 gifts and 10,000 moon cakes to children in many localities such as Lai Chau, Tuyen Quang, Hung Yen, Binh Duong , Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, along with fishing villages, shelters, humanitarian centers and disadvantaged households across the country. The simple gifts are moon cakes, sticky rice cakes, star lanterns, not only lighting up the joy of Mid-Autumn Festival but also showing the traditional beauty of kindness and sharing of the Vietnamese people.
“Mid-Autumn Festival - Sharing Festival 2025” is therefore not only a charity activity, but also a journey of spreading humanity, where young people express the spirit of “a piece when hungry is worth a package when full”, joining hands so that all children can fully enjoy the full moon. The joy shining in the clear eyes of the children - the innocent smiles in the hospital, in the middle of the storm and flood - is the most beautiful proof of the power of humanity, of Vietnamese kindness.
