No time frame for getting married

- Having just won the championship of "Beautiful Sister Riding the Wind and Breaking the Waves", what's special about Trang Phap's Tet this year?

Trang’s Tet Giap Thin is the same as every year, nothing different. This year, Trang will also return to Hanoi to celebrate Tet with her family. Until now, there has only been one year that Trang did not return due to the COVID-19 pandemic, because if she returned, she would have to be quarantined for quite a long time.

- At the present time, does Trang Phap have any good news to bring home as a Tet gift for her parents?

Currently, Trang is still alone, nothing new. Until now, her parents have given up on urging Trang to get married. Her parents also understand that what will come will come, when the time comes, Trang will bring that person home to meet her parents.

Trang likes her current life, free to do what she wants. Trang also doesn't set a milestone for when she will get married or have children, but believes that everything will depend on fate, and good things will come to her.

Trang Phap said her family is just a basic family, not a "noble family".

- Many people say that Trang Phap's family is a noble family, is this true?

Actually, Trang's family is just a basic family. Trang's father studies languages, he contributes to the education sector, and her mother is a diplomat . The term "noble and powerful" is too big. Trang thinks her family is basic. Trang feels lucky and happy to be born into such a family. Trang's parents are both good at their profession and I am very proud of this.

Dropped out of studying abroad at the last minute

Trang likes life as it is now, free to do what she wants, not setting a milestone of when she will get married or have children, but believes that everything will depend on fate, and good things will come to her.

- Recently, an audience shared an old post by Trang Phap's sister, in which she said her parents did not support Trang's pursuit of art. Did her parents strongly oppose it?

Actually, Trang's parents never forbade her from doing anything. Normally, they only gave advice, but never told their daughter not to do this or that. As for Trang, when she saw her parents' extreme anxiety, she automatically stopped.

Before, when I first told my parents that I wanted to pursue an artistic career, they held a family meeting and analyzed why I shouldn’t. Then, when my father called every day to ask, I felt sorry for myself and didn’t dare to fully step into the arts, just doing it halfway.

There was a time when Trang was supposed to go abroad to continue her studies, but in the end she didn’t go and instead packed her bags and went to Ho Chi Minh City to start a business. Trang remembers that at that time, her parents flew to Belgium first, and Trang bought the ticket and waited for Saturday to fly with them.

That was Friday night, while packing, I suddenly found a blue notebook with the songs I had written, so I took it out to play a song, then for some reason I brought all my stuff to the airport and bought a ticket to Ho Chi Minh City.

Her parents did not support Trang Phap's pursuit of art but respected her passion and decision.

After arriving in Ho Chi Minh City, I rented a hotel room for 2 weeks. On Saturday morning, I dared to call my mom and tell her that I was not going to Belgium anymore and that she should not come to the airport to pick me up.

- After receiving the call from your daughter, how did your parents react?

When hearing her daughter say that her parents should not come to the airport to pick her up, the other end of the line was silent. Trang's mother was so sad that she didn't say anything, only her father talked. A few days later, her mother was still very sad, she told me to think again whether my decision was right or not.

I remember I had to talk to my parents a lot before they agreed to let their daughter pursue an artistic career for a year.

I remember when the one-year term was about to end, I called my mother to ask for another year. After persuading her for about 5-7 days, she gave me another year to work, and so on for 5 years. My career started day by day, it was not a long-term career like "now I will become an artist, I confidently call myself a singer", no!

I'm simply a student who loves music and every year asks my parents for 365 days to do art to satisfy my passion.

- Up to now, do you still feel guilty and remorseful towards your parents about the decision not to go to Belgium?

I feel guilty for making my parents worry about me all the time, for choosing a path that makes them worry every day. If something bad happens and it gets made public, it will affect my parents. That will cause trouble for everyone.

My father teaches at the university, he has many students and they also follow showbiz activities. If there is any negative news about me, his students will read it and tell him or gossip about it, I am afraid that my father will be affected.

I really don't dare to do anything noisy. If it's a trade-off between making this noisier and protecting my family, I'll definitely choose my family.

With social media comments, I don’t ask my parents if they’ve read them. I believe that if there’s anything that bothers them, they’ll ask me right away. I think that’s a blessing, because now they’re looking at the positive things that their daughter has done.

Price is more adventurous in "Pretty Sister"

- Did you feel a lot of pressure when participating in "Pretty Sister Riding the Wind and Breaking the Waves" season 1?

Until now, Trang still feels surprised, because from the moment I accepted to participate in the show "Beautiful Sister Riding the Wind and Breaking the Waves", I never set a goal that I had to be the winner. When meeting the beautiful sisters, seeing that everyone was beautiful and talented, I felt small. Therefore, through each round, I had to try my best and do my best.

I feel lucky to be in the team. When my name was called, I was happy not because of the award. I was happy because my journey was beautiful, I did many things and did not leave anything unfinished.

Trang Phap said she wants to do more adventurous things on the show "Beautiful Sister Riding the Wind and Breaking the Waves".

- Is there anything that Trang Phap regrets not being able to do in "Beautiful Sister Riding the Wind and Breaking the Waves"?

I want to do more adventurous things in the show "Beautiful Sister Riding the Wind and Breaking the Waves" season 1. First of all, about music , there are many things I haven't done yet, like performances with pure hip hop or all rap, old music, folk music... Of course, the show has included these genres, but I wish the time was longer so I could do more.

As for stage techniques, if allowed, I would have sword dancing, aerial acrobatics, silk rope swings or more adventurous things.
