The Organizing Committee of the first World Cultural Festival in Hanoi has just announced the decision to move the Festival to October 10-12, 2025. Due to the complicated and serious situation of storms, floods, and landslides in the Northwest mountainous region and in the North Central region, there have been many losses of people and property.
This is the content of a document recently sent by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Hanoi People's Committee regarding the postponement of the first World Cultural Festival in Hanoi.
Previously, the Festival was scheduled to open on Friday evening, October 3. However, in recent days, the situation of storms, floods, and landslides in the Northwest mountainous region and the North Central region has been very serious, causing many losses in human lives and property. The Prime Minister has also promptly issued dispatches to closely direct the work of preventing, combating, and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, ensuring the stability of people's lives. The recovery work is currently very urgent, but still faces many difficulties, requiring the support and cooperation of the whole country.
The Ministry's dispatch stated that, in that context, the Festival Organizing Committee has considered and decided to change the Festival's organization time (expected from October 3-5, 2025) to October 10-12, 2025.
The opening ceremony will take place on Friday evening, October 10, 2025 at the Thang Long-Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center (Thang Long Imperial Citadel). The Ministry's leaders requested relevant agencies and units to continue to coordinate closely and actively prepare to ensure the success of the first World Cultural Festival./.
