
At the reception, General Phan Van Giang emphasized that Vietnam-Belarus defense cooperation has been effectively implemented, in line with the overall traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries and signed international treaties and agreements, achieving many positive results.
General Phan Van Giang expressed his joy at witnessing the traditional friendship and strategic partnership between Vietnam and Belarus developing well in many fields, in which defense relations play an important role, for the benefit of the two peoples, for peace , stability and common development.
Minister Phan Van Giang affirmed that the people and the Vietnam People's Army always appreciate the valuable support and assistance that the people of the Republic of Belarus have given Vietnam in the struggle for national independence and reunification.
To express gratitude for that assistance, General Phan Van Giang said that the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense built the Vietnam-Soviet Union Solidarity and Friendship Monument (including Belarusian military experts) on the grounds of the Vietnam Military History Museum.
On this occasion, General Phan Van Giang sincerely thanked the Belarusian Ministry of National Defense for supporting and sending a high-ranking delegation to attend the ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
General Phan Van Giang expressed his hope that in the coming time, in the spirit of the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Belarus, the two sides will continue to coordinate and promote the effective implementation of agreed contents, focusing on areas such as: Exchange of delegations; effective implementation of signed cooperation documents; maintaining forms of exchange and cooperation between the armies and military branches of the two countries...
For his part, Major General Pavel Muraveiko thanked Minister Phan Van Giang for the warm welcome given to the delegation.
Believing that the defense cooperation between the two countries has much room for development, the Chief of the General Staff of the Belarusian Armed Forces expressed his hope that General Phan Van Giang would pay attention and support so that the defense cooperation between the two countries can develop further.
Regarding the direction of cooperation in the coming time, Major General Pavel Muraveiko agreed with the opinion of Minister Phan Van Giang, affirming that the Belarusian side will promote training cooperation based on the needs of each country, and is ready to promote cooperation in other potential fields such as military science, military medicine...
