Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko gave first aid to a passenger with high blood pressure on a flight from Moscow to Hanoi, en route to his visit to Vietnam.

In a post on social media account X on September 14, Russian news agency RT reported that Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko had given first aid to a passenger on the plane.

According to RT's post, a Russian man suffered from high blood pressure on a flight from Moscow to Hanoi .

Minister Murashko acted immediately and stabilized the passenger's health within an hour.

The post also included a video posted by Shot channel documenting the incident.

India's Economic Times also reported that Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko had given first aid to a passenger with high blood pressure, which could lead to a heart attack, on a flight from Moscow to Hanoi.

According to Economic Times, Mr. Murashko was on the flight, reassuring the passenger in distress and helping to stabilize his condition until the plane landed.

Shot channel said that 3 hours after the flight from Moscow to Hanoi, a Russian passenger had high blood pressure, forcing the crew to urgently request medical assistance.

At that time, among those on the plane was Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko. He was on an official visit to Vietnam. Mr. Murashko responded immediately and treated this passenger.

At the meeting with the Vietnamese Minister of Health, the Russian Minister of Health shared the contents that the two sides aim to discuss on bilateral cooperation in priority areas of cooperation such as: Cooperation in exchanging medical equipment, exchanging experts in the fields of maternal and child health, anti-cancer technology, biotechnology, etc.

The Russian Ministry of Health wishes to cooperate in developing and expanding the medical tourism model, creating conditions for Russian people to come for treatment and health care.

To enhance cooperation between the two sides, the Russian Ministry of Health is willing to provide a list of leading hospitals, vaccine research centers, technology applications, and pharmaceutical enterprises in the above fields to Vietnam.


Mikhail Murashko, 58, is a physician and the Minister of Health of Russia. He has held this position since January 21, 2020. Before that, he was the head of the Federal Medical Supervision Service of Russia and worked in the field of regional health management.
