The image of the country through displays and exhibitions

Towards the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), many large exhibitions will take place, not only bringing to the public documentary images and artifacts reminiscent of the heroic history of the nation but also introducing many images and symbols reflecting the brilliant innovation and development of a Vietnam rising in the new era.

80 years of national achievements

One of the largest exhibitions held during the Great Festival is the exhibition “National Achievements on the occasion of the 80th Anniversary of National Day”, taking place from August 28 to September 5, 2025 at the National Exhibition Center (Dong Anh commune). This national event is directly directed by Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism plays the role of standing agency, presiding over and coordinating the implementation.

Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung said that this is a political and cultural event of special importance for the entire Party, people and army to look back on the 80-year journey of fighting for independence, protecting and building the country. The exhibition is organized on a large scale, gathering the participation of central departments, ministries, branches, unions, 34 provinces and cities, international organizations and typical enterprises.

Currently, construction and preparation work is being carried out urgently. The exhibition content is invested elaborately, applying modern technology, comprehensively reflecting great achievements in various fields through art, painting, modeling in real space and digital space, integrating many unique art forms.

The general exhibition area at the National Exhibition House includes spaces such as: Vietnam - Country - People , 95 years of the Party flag lighting the way , Rich Province - Strong Country , Start-up and nation building ... recreating the history and spirit of Vietnam, a nation overcoming challenges to move forward. Areas on green economy, digital transformation, aviation - aerospace industry and comprehensive foreign affairs demonstrate the country's long-term development vision.

In addition, the exhibition space has a service, entertainment and recreation area that is reasonably and attractively arranged, with the largest scale ever. Visitors can not only "see" but also "touch", "hear" and "relive" historical moments through direct interactive activities, inspiring patriotism and national spirit for all Vietnamese people.

In addition to the main activities, before and after the exhibition, there are many programs such as: Music program " Rang sang Vietnam " , programme art “ Vietnamese Heart Words ” , forum “ Application of artificial intelligence (AI) in the digital age ” , workshop “ The role of data in the digital age ” …

Proud historical milestone

Towards the celebration of major holidays, many exciting exhibitions and displays took place across the country. In Hanoi, from the beginning of August to National Day September 2, dozens of exhibitions were held. The highlight was the exhibition " Vietnam People's Public Security - 80 years for a peaceful life " organized by the Ministry of Public Security in coordination with the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Hanoi People's Committee, taking place from August 5 to September 14 at the Hanoi Museum.

This is an opportunity for the public to learn about the journey of formation, fighting, building and growing of the People's Public Security force over nearly 8 decades, with more than 500 documents, artifacts, images and more than 300 types of weapons, vehicles and specialized technical equipment.

Also on this occasion, Ho Chi Minh Museum organized thematic programs " 80 years of the People's Public Security remembering Uncle Ho's words " (August 15); exhibition " Independence Autumn " on August 26; exhibition of large-scale oil paintings " Independence Spring " in the outdoor space on the occasion of National Day September 2.

Director of the Ho Chi Minh Museum Vu Manh Ha said that the exhibitions will bring many valuable images and documents, helping the public have a comprehensive and in-depth view of the development history of the past 80 years, thereby affirming the strength of great national unity and the determination to build a rich and developed country.

At the Vietnam National Museum of History, the exhibition “ Popular Education - Lighting Up the Future ” (August 22) will take place, introducing about 160 documents and artifacts about the history of education and learning of the Vietnamese people, from the period of “popular education” to eliminate illiteracy after 1945 to the present, when the Vietnamese have mastered technology, confidently entering a new era. The exhibition displays homemade learning tools such as: areca leaf notebooks, banana stems, wooden pens, popular education badges...

At the Vietnam Museum of Fine Arts, the public will see the exhibition " Children of the Fatherland " (August 15) and “ Artificial Intelligence in Applied Arts ” (August 22), reflects the development of Vietnamese fine arts over the past 80 years.

According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, to serve the people and tourists, museums under the Ministry will open free of charge from September 1 to 3. Minister Nguyen Van Hung emphasized that these exhibitions not only arouse pride in the glorious historical tradition but also contribute to creating motivation and inspiration for the nation to enter a new era of wealth, civilization and prosperity.
