BSR rewards contractors for contributing to ensuring safe operation of Dung Quat Refinery in 2024

On December 12, at Dung Quat Oil Refinery, Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company ( BSR ) held a Conference to summarize Safety - Health - Environment (OSH) work in 2024. At the Conference, BSR also recognized and rewarded the contributions of partners in ensuring safe and stable operation of Dung Quat Oil Refinery in the past year. Attending the Conference were representatives of BSR's partners in OSH work: PTSC Quang Ngai, PVChem, PVMR, PMS, PVS, BSPPT, Lilama-EME; units under the Quang Ngai Provincial Police: Economic Security Department, Target Protection Police force, Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Region 2 and Dung Quat Border Guard Station. On the BSR side, there was Mr. Cao Tuan Si - Factory Director; and heads/deputy heads of functional departments of the unit.

Overview of the 2024 ATSKMT Work Summary Conference.

Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Cao Tuan Si said that the Plant has now achieved more than 49 million safe working hours. To achieve this result, there is a great contribution and support from partners and accompanying units, helping BSR to complete its tasks, especially in the recent 5th general maintenance which was successful and ensured safety. “BSR organized this Conference to acknowledge the positive achievements and contributions of units in ensuring ATSKMT for Dung Quat Oil Refinery in the past year. I hope that this will be an open exchange to continue to propose solutions to ensure the Plant operates safely and better in the coming year. At the same time, it creates solidarity and connection between units, contributing to the common goal of ensuring the Plant continues to operate safely and stably in production activities”, the Director of Dung Quat Oil Refinery emphasized.

The conference was held to summarize the results of the implementation of ATSKMT work in 2024 and discuss safety plans for 2025. In addition, it promptly acknowledged the contributions of contractors in the excellent completion of all ATSKMT work targets of BSR in 2024, contributing to helping BSR complete the milestone of 49 million safe working hours. In 2024, BSR recorded no lost-day work accidents, leakage and explosion incidents; no environmental incidents, security incidents. The company updated 53 level 2, 3, 4 safety documents; average safety training of 22 hours/person in 1 year. In addition, the unit also rehearsed more than 177 emergency incident response situations. In 2024, BSR also detected/identified and corrected more than 353 unsafe working behaviors and conditions. Thereby, helping the Factory to always be absolutely safe and operate at optimal capacity.

At the Conference, the partners presented a summary report on ATSKMT work in 2024 and a plan to continue ensuring safety for the Plant in 2025. In addition, the partners also shared experiences and improvements in ensuring ATSKMT at Dung Quat Oil Refinery. At the same time, they shared and discussed difficulties and recommendations in the coordination work to ensure ATSKMT at Dung Quat Oil Refinery in the past time and proposed solutions for implementation in the coming time.
