The impact caused goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung to suffer a serious injury and he had to be carried off the field on a stretcher. An MRI scan on the morning of October 21 showed that the goalkeeper from Thanh Hoa had torn his ligaments and is expected to be out for the rest of the season.

The unfortunate incident occurred in the 16th minute when Dung “goalkeeper” rushed out of the penalty area to compete for a high ball with striker Lucao. He jumped high to clear the ball in a fierce aerial battle, but landed in the wrong position after a strong collision with the home team player. Dung immediately lay on the ground, holding his leg in pain.

The medical team quickly entered the field to provide first aid, but the former Vietnam national team goalkeeper could not continue playing. At the end of the match, he left the field with his knee bandaged and had to ask for help from his teammates.

In this match, Da Nang started quite well and surprisingly opened the score in the 9th minute. However, the loss of the experienced goalkeeper clearly affected the away team's game. The replacement, young goalkeeper Van Bieu, tried his best but could not keep the goal steady.

The Cong Viettel took advantage of their home field to score two goals from Xuan Tien and Manh Dung, thereby coming from behind to win 2-1. This result helped the army team maintain second place with 15 points after 7 rounds, while Da Nang remained at the bottom with only 5 points.
