The whole country strives to achieve the economic growth target of 8.3 to 8.5% in 2025.

DNO - On the morning of July 16, in Hanoi, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired an online conference between the Government and localities on the economic growth scenario for 2025 and tasks and solutions to achieve the 2025 growth target.

The conference was connected online to 34 provinces and centrally-run cities and communes, wards and special zones. Attending at the Da Nang city bridge were: Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Da Nang City Nguyen Van Quang and Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet and leaders of departments and branches.

According to the report at the conference, the socio -economic situation in the first 6 months of 2025 achieved many important results in most areas. Gross domestic product (GDP) in the first 6 months reached 7.52%, basically achieving the growth scenario of 7.6% stated in Resolution No. 154/NQ-CP, the highest level in the period 2011 - 2025, the highest forecast in ASEAN and among the leading group in the world. Many provinces and cities achieved a growth rate of over 8%.

Speaking at the conference, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet said that the total product (GRDP) in the area (including the old Da Nang city and the old Quang Nam province) in the first 6 months of the year reached 9.43%; total budget revenue reached nearly 30,000 billion VND, equal to 117% compared to the same period last year.

Da Nang City has proactively built a growth scenario for the whole year 2025 with a growth rate of over 10%; in which the service industry is estimated to reach 10-10.5%; the construction industry will increase from 13-15.5%, agriculture - forestry - fishery is 3.5%... To achieve these goals, the city focuses on effectively implementing the directions, policies, and orientations of the Central Government and the action programs and Resolutions of the City Party Committee.

At the same time, efforts will be made to disburse 100% of public investment capital by 2025; accelerate the progress of key projects and works in the city such as Lien Chieu port, Chu Lai airport; start construction of a number of Free Trade Zone projects, Asia Park project, Cua Lo channel construction investment project; promote the implementation of the Urban Railway project phase 1 connecting from Da Nang to Hoi An; implement data center projects, information technology infrastructure, digital infrastructure, etc.

Concluding the conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh agreed to set the national economic growth target in 2025 from 8.3 to 8.5%; controlling inflation below 4.5%.

The Prime Minister emphasized that this is a difficult and challenging task, so it requires the entire political system to be unanimous, determined, and unified in perception and action; to implement with focus and key points; and to ensure 6 clarity in the assignment of tasks: clear people, clear work, clear time, clear responsibility, clear authority, and clear results.

At the same time, drastic solutions are needed to achieve the 2025 growth target. In particular, monetary policy must be flexible, effective, and timely, contributing to stabilizing the macro economy; striving to continue reducing interest rates to stabilize production and business, and people's livelihoods; controlling credit flows into growth drivers of the economy such as green growth, digital growth, green economy, digital economy, etc.; expanding effective and reasonable fiscal policies, promoting 100% disbursement of public investment capital; expanding revenue sources, saving expenditures, serving growth drivers, key national projects; ministries, agencies, economic groups, and economic sectors must all make efforts and move forward.

The Government will have a new resolution on assigning growth targets to ministries, branches and localities.
