La Son - Tuy Loan Expressway is an important traffic route connecting Da Nang City and Hue City; it is under construction and expansion and has many steep passes, consecutive curves, and an inclined road surface.

During heavy rains, road surfaces are often slippery and visibility is limited, making driving difficult and posing a high risk of traffic accidents, especially for trucks, container trucks and long-distance passenger buses.

In the past, there have been cases of vehicles skidding or flipping over when cornering, braking suddenly or driving at high speed on this route. Due to the nature of the route passing through complex mountainous terrain, with many high cliffs and steep slopes, the risk of landslides is always present during the rainy season; prolonged heavy rains weaken the rock and soil structure, easily leading to landslides and subsidence, endangering people and vehicles on the route.

Hue City Police recommends that all people traveling on the La Son - Tuy Loan Expressway need to raise their awareness of self-protection, strictly follow the speed limit, reduce speed when entering corners, drive slowly and keep a safe distance. At the same time, proactively check the brake system, tires and lights before the trip.

Drivers need to pay attention to warning signs, not overtake recklessly, not brake suddenly on slopes or curves, and should proactively find a safe place to stop and rest when it is raining heavily or foggy until the weather improves.

In addition, drivers need to pay close attention to points such as: mud and fallen trees; strictly obey warning signs; observe when passing through sections of road with steep cliffs with unusual signs of new cracks, scattered rocks and soil, and strange noises.

When there are signs of landslides, drivers must not attempt to cross. At the same time, they must stop at a safe location, away from the danger zone, turn on the warning lights and immediately notify the authorities for timely handling.
