Clearly assign responsibilities to each unit to ensure progress of projects serving APEC 2027

The delegation inspected the field of the Phu Quoc International Airport expansion investment project; APEC Conference Center; embankment construction and site leveling project for the construction of the APEC Conference Center; Cua Can Lake; DT.975 Road (Section from DT.973 - Phu Quoc Airport - DT.975 - DT.973); urban metro line section 1; Phu Quoc International Passenger Port. Through the actual inspection of works and projects, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung expressed his excitement at the clear changes in the construction of projects. At the same time, he acknowledged the effective coordination between the Phu Quoc Special Zone Authority with the Provincial Police and functional agencies in the enforcement and recovery of occupied and encroached land to hand over the construction sites of key projects.

Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province Ho Van Mung noted that the workload is still very large, requiring agencies and units to focus on continuous implementation, avoiding subjectivity and negligence leading to slow progress. Regarding upcoming tasks, Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province Ho Van Mung requested that projects still stuck in procedures urgently complete investment dossiers according to the provisions of law.

Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province, Ho Van Mung, especially noted the need to accelerate the investment progress of projects: An Thoi centralized wastewater treatment plant, Duong Dong centralized wastewater treatment plant, Duong Dong 2 water plant, Duong Dong 2 lake... Investors must be proactive and responsible for the progress. At the same time, resettlement areas and APEC boulevard must be urgently deployed to meet the general requirements.

Comrade Ho Van Mung emphasized that serving APEC 2027 is a key political task of the entire system, requiring the synchronous participation of all levels and sectors. Phu Quoc Special Zone needs to continue to direct and clearly assign responsibilities to ensure the timely completion of construction items serving the conference; pay attention to urban beautification, land management, construction order, etc.
