Flood warning on Da River

In the past 12 hours, the flow to Hoa Binh Lake has tended to increase, the largest being 10,578 m3/s (11:00 a.m. on September 29), above the alarm level 2,578 m3/s. Floods on the river can cause flooding in low-lying areas along the river. People need to pay attention to prevention and response measures to minimize impacts on life and economic losses.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, in the past 12 hours, Son La Hydropower Plant operated to generate electricity with an average discharge flow of 845m 3 / second and the largest discharge flow of 2,212m 3 / second (8:00 a.m. on September 29); the flow to Hoa Binh Lake tended to increase, the average flow to the lake in the past 12 hours was 3,862m 3 / second, the largest flow to the lake was 10,578m 3 / second (11:00 a.m. on September 29), above alarm level 2,578m 3 / second.

The flow to the lake at 1:00 p.m. on September 29 to Hoa Binh Lake was 9,895 m 3 / sec, below alarm level 2 of 105 m 3 / sec.

The meteorological agency warned that in the next 6 hours, the flow to the lake will fluctuate from 9,000-10,500m 3 / second. In the next 6-12 hours, the flow to Hoa Binh Lake will fluctuate from 8,500-9,800m 3 / second. In the next 12-24 hours, the flow to Hoa Binh Lake will fluctuate from 6,500-8,000m 3 / second.

River floods inundate low-lying areas along the river, affecting activities such as waterway transport, aquaculture, agricultural production, people's lives and socio-economic activities.
