After days of prolonged rain and flooding due to the impact of storm No. 11, all 516 educational establishments in Cao Bang province have basically stabilized, ensured safety and officially resumed teaching activities. Notably, 100% of students at schools have returned to class, continuing their learning journey.

The province currently has more than 135,700 students studying in nearly 5,700 classes, with more than 6,100 classrooms from kindergarten to high school. Nearly 10,000 cadres, teachers and staff have quickly resumed teaching, maintained teaching routines, and strengthened learning quality after the interruption due to natural disasters.

This not only ensures students' right to education but also demonstrates the efforts of the entire sector to overcome difficulties in maintaining stability, safety and quality of education after natural disasters.

As soon as the weather stabilized, the Department of Education and Training directed education departments and affiliated units to closely coordinate with local authorities, police forces, militia, youth union members and parents to organize general environmental cleaning and overcome the consequences of floods.

Electrical safety inspections, walls, roofs, schoolyards and teaching equipment are being urgently carried out, especially in low-lying schools at risk of landslides or flooding.

Many schools have demonstrated the spirit of sharing and solidarity through fundraising activities to support families and students affected by floods. Right after the flag-raising ceremony at the beginning of the week, teachers and students of De Tham Secondary School and many other organizations organized fundraising activities to spread the message of humanity and community spirit.

Cao Bang Department of Education and Training continues to request schools to review, count damages, propose repairs and replacements of damaged facilities; organize make-up classes to ensure the curriculum according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training , strengthen propaganda and education on disaster prevention skills, and ensure safety for students during the rainy and stormy season.
