License to exploit 200,000m3 of land to serve Bien Hoa expressway

After many months of implementing procedures, up to now, 200,000m3 of land has been approved for exploitation to serve the construction of the expressway through Dong Nai province.

Regarding the licensing of earthworks for the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project through Dong Nai province, the People's Committee of this province has granted a license to the contractor to exploit earthworks at one location. That is in Tam Phuoc ward, Bien Hoa city with a reserve of about 200,000m3.

Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway is facing a shortage of fill soil.

According to the Provincial People's Committee, contractors are continuing to review other locations to add to the project dossier and apply for exploitation licenses under special mechanisms.

According to calculations, the need for embankment for Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway is more than 5.4 million m3. Of which, component project 1 needs nearly 2.3 million m3, component project 2 needs more than 3.1 million m3.

To have a source of fill soil to serve the project construction, the contractors have reviewed and proposed to the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee 3 exploitation locations in Bien Hoa city and Long Thanh district.

Located in Phuoc Binh commune (Long Thanh district) with an area of ​​over 16 hectares, reserves of 3.5 million m3. Located in Tam Phuoc and Phuoc Tan wards, Bien Hoa city with an area of ​​over 15 hectares with reserves of 1.18 million m3.

Currently, only about 200,000m3 of fill soil has been approved for exploitation to serve the highway.

According to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Ha, Director of Project Management Board Component 2 of Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway, the expressway through Long Thanh district has basically cleared the land but still lacks fill.

Many locations have been cleared but construction is still being carried out at a slow pace. Therefore, the Project Management Board hopes that the Dong Nai provincial leaders will soon approve other land locations to exploit materials for the expressway.

Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway through Dong Nai is divided into two component projects with a length of nearly 35km. Including component project 1 and component project 2 through Long Thanh district and Bien Hoa city.

In which, component project 1 is invested by Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, component project 2 is invested by Project Management Board 85.

Currently, the land area through Long Thanh has been basically handed over, while the section through Bien Hoa has only been handed over about 2/3. At the construction site, workers and machinery are focused on constructing the roadbed, overpasses, intersections, tunnels, slopes, etc. The output of the packages fluctuates from 5-30%.
