Speaking at the discussion orientation, Colonel Vo Thanh Danh, Head of Delegation Group No. 4, emphasized: Dong Nai Province has a strategic position in the Southeast region; has an area of ​​nearly 13,000 km 2 , a population of nearly 4.5 million people. The province has a border of nearly 260 km long, many industrial parks, and a large number of workers. Therefore, maintaining political security, social order and safety, and creating a stable environment for socio-economic development is always an important task.

Colonel Vo Thanh Danh asked delegates to focus on contributing opinions on the contents of the assessment and summary of national defense, security and foreign affairs work for the 2020-2025 term; propose solutions to build a strong, compact and highly combat-ready armed force; build a regular, elite and modern people's police force and foreign affairs work in accordance with the Party's guidelines and policies.

Speaking at the group, delegate Phan Van Tung, Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Dak Lua commune expressed his high agreement with the assessment document on the fields of national defense, security, and foreign affairs; at the same time, analyzed the advantages and difficulties in local defense and military work closely with the characteristics of Dak Lua commune. To successfully complete the task, comrade Phan Van Tung suggested strengthening close coordination between the Regional Defense Command with the Party Committee, government and the Commune Military Command to promptly support and help each other, especially when the locality has security and order situations, natural disasters, and epidemics.

Besides, delegate Phan Van Tung suggested that the province pay attention to building headquarters for military forces and communal police to ensure quality and standard, helping officers and soldiers feel secure in completing their tasks well.

With the locality having over 98% of the population following a religion, mainly Catholicism, delegate Le Thanh Chung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Gia Kiem Commune Party Committee shared: Promoting the role of religious dignitaries in building a national defense is of great significance in the locality. In recent times, the Party Committee, the government and the political system of the commune have always paid special attention to the issues of national defense, security and foreign affairs; promoting the role of religious dignitaries in mobilizing followers and religious people to comply with the law, well implementing the movements "All people protect national security", "All people unite to build a cultural life"; participating in propagating the Law on Military Service and maintaining security and order in the area.

Soldiers of Dong Nai Provincial Military Command practice and improve combat strength.

For Dong Nai province, first of all, it is necessary to improve the quality of education, training, and updating of national defense and security knowledge for cadres, civil servants, and all people, expanding the target group to include industrial park landlords, border household owners, prestigious people among ethnic minorities; religious dignitaries and officials; promote the building of a solid national defense posture associated with a solid people's security posture right from the grassroots level; complete planning, and reasonably arrange the posture in the defense area.

Currently, the whole country no longer maintains district-level governments and district-level military agencies, so it is necessary to have appropriate mechanisms, policies and solutions to build, manage and continue to promote the effective operations of self-defense units and core political forces in organizations of the political system; focus on improving the quality of self-defense units and core political forces which are reserve soldiers in companies and enterprises with foreign elements, contributing to preventing and repelling potential factors that can cause instability in political security and social order and safety early and from afar.
