Secretary of the City Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet sent best wishes to the children studying and training at the Center for Supporting Victims of Agent Orange and Unfortunate Children of the City; hoping that they will have a joyful, warm Mid-Autumn Festival filled with love.
The Secretary of the City Party Committee emphasized that the Mid-Autumn Festival is not only a time for children to have fun but also an opportunity for the whole society to show its care and concern for the future generation and hopes that they will feel joy, confidence and motivation to live more positively, towards a bright future.
Expressing his understanding of the disadvantages and difficulties that the children face, the City Party Secretary hopes that they will overcome their inferiority complex, live optimistically, confidently and constantly strive to improve in life.

The City Party Secretary also highly appreciated the efforts of the Center for Supporting Agent Orange Victims and Unfortunate Children in the city in overcoming difficulties and maintaining effective operations. With a sense of responsibility and love, the center has created a warm environment, helping children to be cared for, study, play, recover their health and have career orientation.
In the coming time, the City Party Secretary hopes that the center will continue to promote the care and support of children, creating conditions for them to develop comprehensively and make positive contributions to society. The city will pay more practical attention to the center's operating model.

After the merger, the Center for Supporting Agent Orange Victims and Unfortunate Children of Da Nang City has 3 facilities: Facility 1 at 15 Nguyen Van Hue Street, Thanh Khe Ward; Facility 2 in Phuoc Hung Village, Ba Na Commune; Facility 3 in An Ha Trung Block, Quang Phu Ward.
The center is caring for and nurturing 120 subjects, with many different types of disabilities (mainly hearing loss, intellectual disability, Down syndrome...), of many different ages (youngest 11 years old, oldest 53 years old).

The center's activities include caring for and nurturing children affected by Agent Orange and disadvantaged children in a semi-boarding form (brought to the center in the morning and returned to their families in the afternoon); rehabilitation, physical therapy; teaching (reading, writing, drawing, etc.); vocational training (sewing, making incense, beading, making chiffon flowers, getting acquainted with computers, etc.).
In addition, the center organizes recreational activities and singing to help children reduce stress and depression, become more confident, gradually recover physical and intellectual functions, and soon integrate into the community.
