According to The Hill , Barron Trump made his political debut at his father's campaign rally on July 10 after not participating in many public events to support his father in recent times.
"Barron Trump! This is the first time my son has done that (campaigned)," former President Trump said at a rally in Doral, Florida.
Barron Trump, 18, is the former president's youngest son. The July 10 event was the first time this young man appeared at his father's campaign rally.
Mr. Trump’s other sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, have often appeared at their father’s campaign events. Former first lady Melania Trump, like Barron, has also been less visible at campaign events in recent times, including Mr. Trump’s debate with President Joe Biden last month.
During the event, Barron stood up and waved to supporters in attendance at his father's request, before giving the crowd a thumbs-up as they clapped and cheered.
Mr Trump expressed pride in his youngest son, saying that Barron was in college and had been accepted into every school he applied to. He described Barron as a "very good boy".
"This is the first time Barron has done that. It's the first time, right? Barron is quite famous, famous, and maybe more famous than Don and Eric, we have to talk about this. It's good that you're here," he said, emphasizing that Barron used to have a very easy life but now "things are different."
After the event, Mr. Trump posted a photo of Barron waving to the crowd on the social network Truth Social. Mr. Trump said earlier this year that his son Barron had advised him on politics, noting that his son was a "smart guy."
