New Horizon Episode 40: Daughter's engagement is broken off, Ky Phung shamelessly demands 5% of shares

Not accepting that his daughter’s engagement was broken off, Mr. Phung shamelessly used photos of Hoang Quan and Ha Phuong to blackmail Mr. Hai. The heated confrontation unintentionally revealed old grudges, causing Ha Phuong and Hoang Quan to suffer once again.

The business war and emotional grudges in "New Horizon" are being pushed to a new climax. After losing an important contract to his opponent, Mr. Hai has not yet calmed down when he has to face a brazen blackmail from Mr. Phung's family.

Unwilling to see his daughter's engagement broken off, Mr. Phung arranged a meeting with Hoang Quan, showing him pictures of him intimately taking care of Ha Phuong at the hospital to put pressure on her.

When the moralistic trick was ineffective, Mr. Phung decided to "turn the tables". He brought the photos to the company, confronted Mr. Hai and bluntly demanded that 5% of the company's shares be used to "compensate" Quynh Huong. Being rejected by his "best friend", the two men had a heated argument. In the heat of the moment, they brought up the past - a dark secret that both wanted to hide. Ironically, the entire conversation, including the threat to release the photos to reporters, was heard by Hoang Quan and Ha Phuong through a recording device.

In the subsequent conversation with his father, Hoang Quan deliberately brought up the past, but Mr. Hai remained resolute in his silence, only affirming that Mr. Phung was a man who would do anything. The increasing tension in Mr. Hai's family made Mrs. Thom worried.

While the previous generation's conflict was still smoldering, Quynh Huong made a surprising move. She proactively made an appointment to meet Hoang Quan and Ha Phuong to sincerely apologize. Notably, Quynh Huong frankly admitted that all the previous traps were "directed" by her father. Quynh Huong's brave act of exposing her father and her sincere blessing made Hoang Quan and Ha Phuong both surprised and sympathetic.

The first time she bravely admitted her love for Hoang Quan, Ha Phuong immediately extinguished her hope with a bitter affirmation that their love was impossible. The grudge from the previous generation had built an invisible wall that was too big, pushing the budding love into a tragic dead end.
