Incognito mode isn't as safe as you think.

DNVN - Many internet users believe that simply using incognito mode can make them completely anonymous on the internet. But this is completely untrue.

Incognito mode on browsers like Google Chrome, Firefox, or Safari has been trusted by many users as a tool to protect their online activities. In fact, incognito mode only stops the storage of browsing history, cookies and form information, but does not prevent internet service providers (ISPs), websites or other applications from tracking your activities.
Private Browsing is designed to:
No browsing history stored : The websites you visit are not recorded on your device.
No cookies or form data stored : Information such as account and form data will be deleted after you close the incognito window.
Separate browsing sessions : Tabs in incognito mode don't share data with regular tabs, allowing you to log in to multiple accounts at once on the same device.
Incognito mode only prevents others like friends and family from seeing your browsing history, but it does not make you invisible to third parties like your internet service provider (ISP), websites or network authorities (like at work or school) who can still track your activities because your device's IP is still visible to them. In particular, law enforcement agencies can request information related to your IP address and browsing history from your ISP if they have a legal warrant.
Incognito mode doesn’t block third-party cookies. On some browsers, ads can still track you through techniques like fingerprinting (gathering information about your browser, operating system, or device). So don’t be surprised if you still get targeted ads even when you’re in incognito mode.
Incognito mode does not protect you from malware, keyloggers, or phishing attacks. If your device is infected with a keylogger, your activities may still be recorded despite using Incognito mode. When visiting unsafe websites, Incognito mode cannot prevent you from downloading malicious files or being tricked into providing personal information.
Because of the misconception that it is safe, many people using incognito mode are subjective in protecting sensitive information or accessing unsafe websites, causing many unfortunate consequences.
