Quadruple sisters cause a stir because of their beauty: Rare story of father being a doctor who delivered mother

Recently, on the occasion of her 23rd birthday, Pham Nguyen Linh Lan (from Ho Chi Minh City, currently living in the US) - one of the four sisters born by IVF in Vietnam in 2001 - posted on Facebook, showing off pictures of the quadruplets with quite special names: Mai, Lan, Cuc, Truc. Linh Lan's post received tens of thousands of interactions. Many people left comments, praising the beauty of the four sisters. Although they are quadruplets, each girl has her own unique beauty.

Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, Linh Lan said that her four sisters were the same embryo in their mother's womb and were born on the same day, month and year, but from different eggs. Therefore, the appearance of the four people is different. Linh Lan confided that in the past, her parents had spent a long time trying to find a child by natural methods but were unsuccessful. When her mother was 35 years old, entering a difficult stage of natural pregnancy, her parents decided to use in vitro fertilization to have children. "In vitro fertilization often results in multiple pregnancies. After an ultrasound, my mother received the results that she was pregnant with three babies. Having three babies can affect the mother's health , but my mother still decided to give birth to three babies without aborting any of them. In the fifth month, the ultrasound results showed that my mother was pregnant with four babies. At that time, my parents were very worried," Linh Lan shared. She also revealed that her father was a doctor and was present during her mother's surgery. When all four children were born, he was both nervous and happy.

To bring Linh Lan and her four sisters into this world, her parents had to go through many difficulties. A normal pregnancy is difficult, but her mother was even more difficult carrying four children at the same time. During her pregnancy, Linh Lan's mother ate little and was quite weak. Meanwhile, her belly was so big that it made it difficult for her to walk. Linh Lan's father even carried her mother around during her pregnancy. "It sounds very romantic, but at that time my parents must have had a very hard time," Linh Lan confided. Not only that, during the process of welcoming the children into the world, Linh Lan's mother suffered from hemorrhage. This is a dangerous condition that can take the life of a pregnant woman at any time. Luckily, she was strong enough to overcome it. Four healthy children were born on October 16, 2001. Their names include both their father's and mother's surnames and use their mother's name as their middle name. They are Pham Nguyen Linh Mai, Pham Nguyen Linh Lan, Pham Nguyen Linh Cuc and Pham Nguyen Linh Truc.

Childhood filled with laughter, trying not to let down parents

When Linh Lan and her sisters were young, her parents had a hard time taking care of her, but they also received support from other family members. The four sisters Mai, Lan, Cuc, and Truc grew up in the love and protection of their parents. Since childhood, the four sisters were always close to each other, playing and talking, so the family was always filled with laughter. Linh Lan and her sisters were also close friends, always sharing all the joys and sorrows in life.

"There was a day when I just woke up, my parents suddenly let me change my clothes and go to the airport to go to Phu Quoc. The unexpected trips made our childhood more memorable," Linh Lan said.

She also admitted that when she was little, her sisters were very naughty, liked to stay up late, play with cotton balls under the pillows and blankets, draw on the walls and couldn't avoid arguing, even fighting fiercely. According to her, this is a situation that is not difficult to encounter in families with many children. However, her sisters soon made up, and were always together. "After watching a play, we assigned roles to act out the play Tam Cam . Linh Mai was the most gentle and calm, so she was assigned the role of Tam, I was the most individualistic and fierce, so I played the role of the stepmother, Linh Cuc was assigned the role of Cam and Linh Truc played the role of the goby (laughs)", Linh Lan recalled. In 2018, Linh Lan's four sisters went to the US to study and pursue their careers. Her mother also put her work aside to go to the US to take care of her children. Linh Lan said that at that time, her sisters loved their father very much because he had to stay in Vietnam to work to support the economy . Seeing their parents work hard for their children's future, Linh Lan's four sisters always strive to study hard to meet their parents' expectations.

All four sisters live in the US, but in different areas. "My mother also wants the sisters to be closer to each other, but this is difficult to say because everyone has their own direction. We understand that we have less and less time with our families, so we often call to talk to our parents as well as spend time in Vietnam to visit our father. Although we are not close to each other, we are not far apart. When we have time off, we reunite, just being together to talk makes us feel happy and warm," Linh Lan shared.
