According to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hoang, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Ho Chi Minh City, to respond to the high tide in early October, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Ho Chi Minh City has requested relevant units, departments and branches to proactively prepare plans. Specifically, the People's Committees of wards and communes regularly inform the media about the developments of the high tide to local people, especially those living along rivers, canals and low-lying areas. Proactively organize inspections and reviews of dikes, embankments, culverts, and important flood control gates and prepare materials (melaleuca piles, canvas, sand, etc.) for timely handling.

Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction, Irrigation Service Management Company Limited; Urban Drainage Company Limited, Technical Infrastructure Management Center... coordinate with Ward and Commune People's Committees to prepare forces, means, materials, and equipment to promptly handle dyke locations, tide control sluices; effectively operate spillways, tide control sluices, and pumping stations.

Southern Irrigation Exploitation Company Limited based on the weather situation in the basin, the lake water level, the water flow to the lake, the tide level on the Saigon River and heavy rain in Ho Chi Minh City, coordinated the operation of Dau Tieng reservoir to ensure the safety of the project, reduce flooding downstream, and avoid unfavorable combinations due to high tides, heavy rain combined with flood discharge.

Investors of traffic, urban infrastructure, irrigation projects, etc. proactively organize inspections to promptly detect and immediately handle weak locations of dikes, pond banks, embankments, culverts, and diversion channels within the scope of the unit's project packages.

Ho Chi Minh City Police directed the traffic police force to coordinate with the Youth Union to organize mobile forces to regulate traffic in key areas flooded by high tides...
