Hai Duong industrial production index increased by 13.5% in 10 months

According to the Hai Duong Provincial Statistics Office, the province's industrial production in October increased by 2.6% compared to the previous month and by 14.3% compared to the same period last year. The reason is that the negative impact of storms and floods in September has been overcome, so production activities in October have stabilized. To ensure delivery progress, many businesses have arranged overtime and increased working hours to compensate for the output for the period affected by storms and floods.

Demand for civil construction and public investment projects has shown signs of increasing, so Hoa Phat's construction steel consumption output in all three regions has increased. Some enterprises expanding their factories such as Dong A Aluminum Joint Stock Company, Shinyang Metal Vietnam Co., Ltd.... also contributed to the growth of the industry.

In the first 10 months of 2024, the province's industrial production increased by 13.5% over the same period last year. Some industries with large proportions and high growth rates include: electrical equipment production increased by 40.5% (of which generator products increased by 127.8%); textiles and garments increased by 25% and 13.2% respectively; metals increased by 14%; motor vehicles increased by 13% (mainly due to the production of auxiliary parts); electronic products increased by 11.7%; electricity production and distribution increased by 9.5%...

However, there are also some industries facing difficulties due to slow recovery of market demand, excess supply, and difficult export markets, so many cement, brick, and tile manufacturing enterprises in the province have had to stop kilns, reduce capacity, and cut labor... In particular, the 10-month output from non-metallic minerals (cement, bricks, and tiles) decreased by 7.2%; mining decreased by 1%...
