The content of the dispatch sent to Da Nang Newspaper, Radio and Television, People's Committee of Dien Ban Ward and Nam Phuoc Commune, Traffic Police Department of City Police, Department of Construction said that the repair project of the old Cau Lau Bridge (on the old National Highway 1, section from km953+000 - km955+200) by the investor has completed the repair work. The functional sector and specialized units have inspected, tested the load, and announced the load of vehicles passing through the old Cau Lau Bridge.

Therefore, the Department of Construction allows all types of cars to travel through the old Cau Lau bridge (vehicles with a total weight of the entire vehicle and goods) not greater than 10 tons starting from 0:00 on October 11, 2025. This is also the allowable load when the construction has not had an incident that requires repair.

It is known that the old Cau Lau bridge was built from 1965 to 1970 with a length of more than 841m. On May 13, 2023, an incident occurred at the project; the authorities banned cars from crossing the bridge and at the same time arranged funds for comprehensive repairs. The old Cau Lau bridge repair project started construction on September 30, 2024 to maintain the bridge's operational capacity, serving the travel needs of people and tourists .

The project also shares the traffic volume of light-duty cars, buses (total load of 10 tons or less), motorbikes, rudimentary vehicles, and pedestrians so that they do not have to cross the new Cau Lau bridge to enhance traffic safety.
