FIFA President offers condolences to family of Quang Nam player who died in accident

The accident that took place on June 25th killed player Vo Minh Hieu and injured several of his teammates in the Quang Nam youth team.

Footballer Vo Minh Hieu passed away after an accident at Vi O Lac pass.

After the accident, many condolences were sent to the Quang Nam youth team and the victims' families.

Recently, FIFA president Gianni Infantino also shared very emotional comments on Instagram about this incident.

“I would like to send my deepest condolences to the families and friends of the victims of the accident and the coaches involved in the Quang Nam youth team.

They unfortunately had an accident on their way home after a match in the 2023 National Second Division,” the FIFA President wrote.

“My thoughts and prayers are with the players who lost their lives and those injured in the tragic accident.

I also want to share with the leadership of the Vietnam Football Federation at this difficult time,” Mr. Gianni Infantino continued.

Meanwhile, the President of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) also paid special attention to Vo Minh Hieu and his teammates.

"I was really sad and shocked when I received the news about the tragic accident involving the Quang Nam youth football team. The saddest thing is that player Vo Minh Hieu is no longer with us.

I would like to send my deepest condolences to his family, relatives and friends. I hope all those injured will recover soon," AFC President Al Khalifa expressed.

On June 25, the bus carrying the Quang Nam Youth team had an accident on Vi O Lac pass while returning from the match with Gama Vinh Phuc .

The car accident resulted in the death of player Vo Minh Hieu. In addition, three other players were also seriously injured.
