Join hands to build a civilized and friendly tourism image during the Kate Festival

On October 15, Khanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism sent a document to tourism businesses in the province about coordinating to respond to the celebration of Kate Festival 2025.

Accordingly, in order to create favorable conditions for the Provincial Council of Cham Brahmin Dignitaries, the Customs Board of Cham temple and tower areas, dignitaries, officials and followers to organize the Kate Festival 2025 joyfully, safely and in accordance with regulations; at the same time, join hands to build a civilized and friendly tourism image, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa requested tourism businesses to actively promote the above event and participate in supporting discounts on accommodation services, tourist attractions, and publicly announce and post it so that tourists know, especially on the days when the event is held.

The Department also requires tourism businesses to strictly comply with regulations on price registration, price posting, and selling at the correct listed price; maintain service quality, ensure security and safety conditions for tourists; focus on fire prevention, food safety and hygiene, and environmental sanitation, and avoid negative and unfortunate situations that affect the festival atmosphere and the image of the locality.

Kate Festival is one of the major and typical festivals of the Cham people. The annual organization of the Kate Festival is a cultural and spiritual belief activity, expressing the respect and gratitude of the community to the gods. Through that, people pray for favorable weather, good crops, and help each other in a peaceful, prosperous and happy life. The subject of the Kate Festival is the Cham community following Brahmanism. This year's Kate Festival is held for 3 days (from October 20 to 22), of which on October 21, many important activities of the festival will take place, held in Cham temples and towers.
