Art and political program "Independence Star" in 2025":

On the evening of August 24, the art and political program "Independence Star" 2025 (year 10) with the theme "For a prosperous Vietnam" took place majestically, impressively, and artistically at Ho Guom Theater (Hanoi).

This is an activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Forces' Traditional Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025). The program is chaired by the Editorial Board of Communist Magazine, the Ministry of Public Security , in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Hanoi City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee.

Attending the program were Politburo members: Party Central Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission Nguyen Duy Ngoc; Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh ; Minister of Public Security - General Luong Tam Quang.

Also attending the program were Party Central Committee member, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh; Party Central Committee members, alternate Party Central Committee members; leaders, former leaders of central and Hanoi city departments, ministries, branches, and organizations. The program also had the presence of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, People's Armed Forces Heroes, revolutionary veterans, scientists , veterans, and representatives of meritorious people...

Since 2016, “Independence Star” has become an annual art program, eagerly awaited by many veteran revolutionaries, intellectuals, party members and the masses during the autumn days of August.

The 2025 “Independence Star” art and political program honors the nation’s noble cultural and historical values; the patriotism and indomitable will of generations of heroic Vietnamese people who sacrificed and devoted themselves to the independence and freedom of the Fatherland under the leadership of the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam; and at the same time emphasizes the great achievements over the past eight decades, especially in nearly 40 years of the country’s Renovation.

Through that, the program demonstrates the determination of the entire Party, army and people to bring the country into a new era - the era of national growth, realizing the dreams of building a socialist Vietnam, a rich people, strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization.

Staged like an artistic epic, the program takes the audience through 3 chapters: "Under the majestic flag of the flying yellow star" (Aspiration for Independence - Freedom); "Journey to build peace" (Innovation and action, building a happy nation); "Aspiration for a prosperous Vietnam" (Continuing tradition, creating the future, building a rich, prosperous, and powerful nation).

Along with recalling the heroic memories of the nation, the glorious pages of history written with blood and bones, with the sacrifices of the entire Party, the entire army and the entire people, the program also shows the journey of building the country after the war, especially in the period of Renovation and integration, bringing our country to reap brilliant achievements.

The program is interwoven with reports and art performances, with elaborate and impressive scenes such as: "Oath at Dawn", "Under the Shade of the Revolutionary Tree", "August Nineteen", "Liberating Dien Bien", "You Are Ho Chi Minh", "Song of Ho Chi Minh", "Grateful to Vo Thi Sau", "Vietnam's Posture", "Round Footprints on the Sand", "Song of Construction", "Behind the Peace", "The Soldier of the People's Heart", "Flying Over the East Sea", "Continuing the Story of Peace", "The Party's Call to the Heart", "Vietnam, Spring Has Come"...

Multi-genre art performances, such as singing - dancing - music - commentary, combining sound, light, hologram technology images, 3D LED... help the public, especially young audiences, understand and be more proud of the heroic Vietnamese nation, the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam, the great President Ho Chi Minh, the People's Public Security force "forgetting themselves for the country, serving the people", inspiring young people, the core and important force for the goal of a strong and prosperous Vietnam in the new era.

The participation of famous and beloved artists and singers such as People's Artist Pham Phuong Thao, Meritorious Artist Hoang Tung, Meritorious Artist Vu Thang Loi, singers Anh Tu, Dong Hung, Hoang Bach, Do To Hoa, Ha An Huy, Viet Danh, Hoang Hong Ngoc, Minh Thuy, Bui Hoang Yen... contributed to the success of the program.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee presented flowers and gifts of gratitude to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, veterans and representatives of meritorious people.
