
Accordingly, about 20 tons of goods including 4 medical oxygen ventilators, medicine, medical supplies, more than 19 tons of necessities, about 7.5 tons of rice, over 500 boxes of noodles, over 330 boxes of milk donated by Can Tho city residents to send to people in storm and flood areas will be transported to Ha Tinh.
Mr. Tran Viet Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Student Association of Can Tho City, said that through information about the storm and flood situation, the Can Tho City Youth Union has connected with the Ha Tinh Provincial Youth Union to grasp the need for essential necessities for people in flooded areas. The City Youth Union coordinates with the Labor Federation to mobilize and receive support. The items and necessities will be received and distributed by the Ha Tinh Provincial Youth Union, supporting the people.

The charity trip involved the coordination of union members, youth, students from universities, colleges, union bases, union members and officers and soldiers of the Southwest Mobile Police Regiment in receiving and arranging necessities to be sent to Ha Tinh. In the coming time, the City Youth Union will continue to exchange and contact with provinces and City Youth Unions affected by storms and floods to obtain information; through that, it will decide to continue to mobilize support if the provinces and City Youth Unions need support, Mr. Tran Viet Tuan informed.
Ms. Ho Thi Cam Dao, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, said that the Charity Bus Trip is a practical and timely activity, demonstrating the spirit of "mutual love and support" of the City Youth Union, Labor Federation and city residents towards the provinces affected by storms and floods in recent times.

The Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city requested that the City Youth Union and the City Labor Federation continue to mobilize philanthropists and local people to support and share the material and spiritual difficulties of people in storm and flood areas. In the reception work, it is necessary to pay attention to giving priority to receiving urgent necessities for people, ensuring that the necessities are transported safely and are not damaged when they reach people in flood areas.
Previously, through the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Can Tho city donated 2.5 billion VND to the people of Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Ninh Binh and Quang Tri provinces to overcome the consequences caused by storm No. 10.
