It is forecasted that in the next 30 minutes to 3 hours, the convective cloud area will continue to cause thunderstorms in the above areas and may expand to other inner-city districts. Thunderstorms may be accompanied by tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind. The center recommends that "people should be cautious when traveling outdoors."

As of 6:20 p.m., the warning said that in the next 3-6 hours, Hanoi's inner city and surrounding areas will continue to have heavy rain with common rainfall ranging from 30-60mm, in some places over 90mm.
