The Vietnamese community in Romania enthusiastically celebrates the 80th anniversary of National Day.

On August 31, the Vietnamese Embassy in Romania coordinated with the Vietnamese Association in Romania to organize a rally and cultural and sports activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

The event was attended by all Embassy staff and their families, about 200 community representatives, international students and Vietnamese people living, studying and working in Romania.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Do Duc Thanh highlighted the historical significance of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, and emphasized a number of outstanding achievements in the process of construction and development over the past 80 years and the achievements of reform in all aspects in recent times, preparing for the era of national growth.

The Ambassador highly appreciated and commended the positive contributions of the Vietnamese Association in Romania in particular and the Vietnamese associations in Romania in general to community development and solidarity activities; called on the community to continue promoting the tradition of solidarity, mutual love, mutual assistance and preserving national identity, while always looking towards the homeland and country and acting as a bridge to strengthen the friendly relations between the two countries; pledged to continue to stand side by side with the people and actively support the community.

The Ambassador also informed about new regulations to create more favorable conditions for the Community, as well as called on people to always be vigilant against signs of fraud on the internet, fight against activities of propagating false information on social networks, and at the same time hoped that the Community will grow stronger, improve its legal status, attract more and more people to participate and overcome new challenges arising in the process of integration into the locality...

On this occasion, Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in Romania Pham Duy Hung summarized the Association's activities in recent times and highlighted the efforts of the Vietnamese community to overcome difficulties and challenges to stabilize their lives, integrate into the host society and participate in activities for the country.

Mr. Pham Duy Hung expressed his gratitude to the community for the Embassy's attention and support for community activities in recent times, such as successfully organizing Vietnamese classes for community children at the Embassy headquarters, organizing for community children to participate in the 2025 Summer Camp in Vietnam, etc.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee jointly organized the closing ceremony of the 2025 Summer Vietnamese language class for children of the community and the Ceremony to Honor the Vietnamese language in the Vietnamese community in Romania. Representatives of the Vietnamese Association in Romania and the Parents' Association highly appreciated the efforts of teachers and students during the two summer months, actively contributing to the movement to Honor the Vietnamese language in the area.

Cultural and sports activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 were held with the enthusiastic participation of generations of overseas Vietnamese in Romania, contributing to promoting solidarity and the homeland of the Vietnamese community here.
