On September 18, Mr. Ho Hoang Anh Kha (38 years old, residing on Van Hanh Street, Lam Vien Ward - Da Lat, Lam Dong Province) handed over a pangolin to Da Lat Forest Protection Department for handling according to regulations.
The pangolin was just handed over to the authorities by Da Lat residents.
According to Mr. Kha, on the night of September 17, when he returned home from work, he discovered this pangolin crawling into the alley of his house, so he captured it. After investigating, Mr. Kha learned that pangolins are rare wild animals, so he handed them over to the authorities.
According to Da Lat Forest Rangers, this is a Java pangolin, weighing 3 kg and was handed over alive.
Pangolin is a rare wild animal belonging to group IB according to Decree No. 06 of the Government , prioritized for protection and strictly prohibited from exploitation, use, sale and consumption in any form.
