Dalat, the foggy, magical city

The foggy city has captivated poets and tourists from all over the world. The city immersed in fog creates a wonderful picture with elegance, blending with nature and has its own unique features that cannot be found anywhere else.

Da Lat, the dreamy city in the middle of Lam Vien plateau, not only attracts tourists with a series of colorful flower gardens but also fascinates people with the magical sunrise scene in the clouds like a fairyland. That magical beauty is also the creative theme of author Sangnvl, from Lam Dong , Vietnam. The photo series with the theme "Da Lat, the foggy city" was submitted by the author to participate in the "Happy Vietnam 2025" Award.

In the early morning, the new day of Da Lat begins to appear bright pink in the sea of ​​floating clouds. From high points in the city center such as: Dinh III Bao Dai, Doc Nha Bo hill, Cau Dat or even from the balconies of cafes and hotels with high views, visitors can admire the city of Da Lat appearing and disappearing in the giant sea of ​​clouds.

The first rays of sunlight shone through the clouds, creating a warm, rosy glow that awakened the whole space. The rays of sunlight penetrated the gaps between the leaves and the mist, reflecting on the red-tiled roofs, the winding roads, and the green forests, creating a beautiful picture.

As the sun gradually rose, the clouds began to dissipate, but the beauty of Xuan Huong Lake and the old school remained – not only in the hasty photos taken by tourists, but in the minds of anyone who witnessed that moment.

We invite readers and photographers at home and abroad to continue sending photos and videos to the "Happy Vietnam 2025" Award, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and Vietnam Television. Thereby, we continue to introduce and promote the image of the country, the Vietnamese people, cultural and natural values ​​across the country; arouse national pride and aspirations for development in all classes of Vietnamese people to join hands in building an increasingly prosperous, prosperous and happy Vietnam. The works submitted to the Award will truthfully and vividly reflect the development achievements in all fields of Vietnam, especially in the process of innovation, development and international integration; convey valuable information and knowledge to the public and have a wide spread at home and abroad./.

Contestants: Vietnamese citizens and foreigners aged 15 and over

The award consists of two categories: Photo and Video.

Each contest category (photo and video) will have one First Prize worth 50,000,000 VND, two Second Prizes worth 30,000,000 VND, three Third Prizes worth 15,000,000 VND, 10 Consolation Prizes worth 5,000,000 VND, one Most Voted Work Prize worth 5,000,000 VND.

The Organizing Committee encourages and will award a creative prize in each category (photo and video) worth 20,000,000 VND for works with new ideas, creativity in content and form of expression.

In addition, the Organizing Committee will award monthly prizes including First, Second, and Third prizes to the highest voted works of the month in each category.

The Jury will select the award through two rounds: Preliminary and Final, online and in person.
