According to Mr. Tan Van Vuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Da Nang focuses on investing, exploiting and developing inland waterway tourism products, contributing to expanding tourism development space, diversifying products, enhancing destination competitiveness and attracting tourists to the city.
Currently, the city has 58 inland waterway transport businesses, with a total of 118 tourist boats qualified to operate from 12-250 seats, with a total capacity of 5,821 seats; of which 23 boats operate in the Han River area, 7 boats operate in the Son Tra peninsula area and 88 boats operate in the Cua Dai - Cu Lao Cham area.
In the first 7 months of 2025, the number of tourists traveling by inland waterway reached 732,026. Of which, the Han River - Tran Thi Ly Bridge route and CT15 route to Bai Nam - Bai Da - Hon Sup reached 560,568 visitors; the Cua Dai - Cu Lao Cham route alone reached 171,458 visitors, an increase of 16.5% over the same period last year.
Therefore, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized an exchange for management agencies, businesses, crew members, and service staff to share experiences and situation handling procedures; raise awareness, management and operation capacity, and ensure absolute safety for tourists; contribute to improving service quality, reputation, and image of Da Nang as a destination.
