Da Nang welcomes international cruise ship carrying nearly 2,500 Chinese tourists

(NLDO) - The Adora Mediterranea ship brought nearly 2,500 Chinese tourists to Da Nang, expanding the flow of cruise ship passengers to the city.

On October 6, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City announced that the Adora Mediterranea cruise ship departing from Guangzhou (China) had just docked at Tien Sa port, bringing nearly 2,500 Chinese tourists to visit and experience the city.

According to the schedule, visitors will participate in outstanding discovery programs such as Da Nang City tour , Sun World Ba Na Hills , My Son Sanctuary and Hoi An ancient town .

The cruise ship Adora Mediterranea departed from Guangzhou (China) and arrived at Tien Sa port on October 6.

At APEC Park area (2-9 Street, Hai Chau Ward) , the city arranges pick-up and drop-off points by shuttle bus, along with a tourist information booth introducing destinations, providing free maps and advice on visiting famous landmarks such as Cham Sculpture Museum, Han Market, Chicken Church, Linh Ung Son Tra Pagoda and My Khe Beach .

Tourists on the ship will visit famous places in Da Nang city.

In the first 9 months of 2025, Da Nang welcomed 40,175 sea tourists , an increase of 25.4% over the same period last year, with 35 ships arriving at Tien Sa port. It is expected that in the whole year of 2025, the city will welcome 48 ships , equivalent to more than 57,000 visitors , an increase of 35.7% compared to 2024.

To ensure security, traffic safety and tourism environment , the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinates with the City Police, the Department of Construction and related localities to synchronously deploy support measures, contributing to preserving the image of Da Nang - a friendly and civilized destination in the eyes of international tourists .

Previously, on the evening of October 2, Da Nang welcomed China Southern Airlines flight CZ8155 from Shenzhen (China) carrying more than 170 passengers, marking the airline's return after more than 5 years of suspension.

The event is considered a positive signal for the Chinese tourist market – the second largest group of international tourists in Da Nang. A representative of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that the reopening of the Shenzhen – Da Nang route is of great significance, helping to strengthen connectivity, promote recovery and tourism growth.
