Boldly invest in new technology

Asia Green Trading and Production Joint Stock Company (Hoa Xuan Ward) is one of three enterprises supported to invest in production lines and equipment to improve productivity and product quality under the local industrial promotion program and product development for tourism in 2025 in Da Nang.

The company invested in a new system of 3 advanced machines and equipment to produce air duct and air vent accessories with a total cost of nearly 900 million VND. Of which, the company's funding source is 588 million VND; the rest is supported by the city's industry and trade sector.

Mr. Tran Duc Tho, General Director of Asia Green Trading and Production Joint Stock Company, said that the enterprise is producing air duct accessories and air vents using existing machinery and equipment combined with manual production with an average production capacity of 300 finished air duct accessories/day and 200 finished air vents/day.

After the investment, the production capacity has increased significantly with about 450 finished products of air duct accessories/day, 300 finished products of air vents/day, 150% increase compared to previous manual production. The cost of directly participating in the production of this stage has decreased by 20-30%. It is expected that the revenue after investment will increase by 25-30%.

“Investing in advanced machinery and equipment helps the company improve its production process, enhance its competitiveness, and expand its production scale and international market,” Mr. Tho shared.

Similarly, Kinh Thanh Stainless Steel Company Limited (Hoa Khanh ward) is one of two enterprises supported to innovate cleaner production machinery.

The company specializes in providing stainless steel used in the industrial and decorative fields. With the support of the industrial promotion program and counterpart capital, the company has invested in CNC hydraulic press brake machines with a total value of more than 1.38 billion VND.

Director of Thanh Ha Kim Khanh Stainless Steel Glass Company Limited said that investing in CNC hydraulic sheet metal bending machines helps businesses save energy and improve production efficiency compared to before.

The machine is expected to reduce the rate of scrap and loss to 5%. Processing time is 3 times faster, saving up to 65% of electricity compared to before.

According to the Department of Industry and Trade, in the first phase of 2025, 5 enterprises will receive financial support to invest in machinery and equipment. Of these, 2 units will receive support for machinery for cleaner production; 3 units will receive support for new machinery and technology to improve productivity and product quality.

The total investment cost is more than 5 billion VND; of which, the city's industrial promotion program supports nearly 1.62 billion VND, the rest is counterpart capital from enterprises (nearly 3.43 billion VND). The program contributes to increasing production efficiency, competitiveness and sustainable development for local enterprises.

Deputy Director of the Danang Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion Dinh Van Phuc said that after receiving support, units need to use machinery and equipment most effectively and efficiently, contributing to the development of enterprises in particular and the development of the local economy in general.

According to Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Do Thi Quynh Tram, with the orientation of developing supporting industries, service industries, trade, promoting domestic production development as well as increasing the city's consumer goods industry index, in recent times, the department has had many policies to support businesses in innovating machinery and equipment, piloting cleaner production models under the industrial promotion program.
