Mobilizing the whole society to build the image of Da Nang tourism
According to the plan, the implementation of the “ Da Nang SMILE” Criteria Set is aimed at two main groups of subjects. The first group is agencies, organizations and individuals at the destination such as tourism businesses, accommodation establishments, travel agencies, tourist areas, food and beverage establishments, transportation, tour guides, state management agencies, tourism training establishments and Da Nang residents.
The second group is domestic and international tourists visiting and staying in the city.
The program aims to raise awareness, encourage civilized and professional behavior in tourism activities, and create a friendly and modern tourism environment. The criteria are built with the requirements of being concise, easy to understand, easy to apply, helping agencies, organizations, individuals and tourists to join in spreading the message "Da Nang - City of Smiles".
To achieve effective propaganda, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang has deployed a variety of visual and online media forms, coordinating with local and central newspapers and radio stations to produce periodic columns, reports and news articles introducing the content and meaning of the Criteria Set.
Along with that, media publications such as videos , leaflets, standees, and posters will be distributed to tourism service businesses, airports, train stations, bus stations, and prominent destinations in the area.
In particular, the "Da Nang SMILE" promotional video will be edited in multiple languages (Vietnamese, English, Chinese, Korean), and regularly shown at Da Nang International Airport, public LED screens, hotel reception areas, means of transport and on official media channels of the tourism industry.
Strengthen training, communication and commitment to implementation
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang will organize seminars, training sessions, and disseminate the set of criteria to tourism service businesses, passenger transport vehicles, state management agencies, associations and tourism training facilities.
The content of the Criteria Set will also be integrated into tour guide training courses and tourism professional classes, contributing to forming habits and civilized behavioral standards in the tourism community.
At the same time, the Department will implement the signing of a commitment to implement the "Da Nang SMILE" criteria set between the Tourism Association and local businesses. Units that commit to implementing the criteria set are encouraged to become role models in behavior and service to tourists, contributing to building the image of a livable tourist city.
Promotion to domestic and foreign tourists is also promoted through visual and online activities. The Da Nang SMILE brochure will be distributed in many languages at airports, train stations, bus stations, tourist attractions and accommodation facilities. KOLs and tourism ambassadors will also participate in communicating and promoting the message “Da Nang SMILE” on social networks, promotional events and tourism fairs.
In addition, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism plans to organize photo, video and story contests explaining the beauty of Da Nang's tourism culture, in order to spread beautiful actions and civilized behavior of people and tourists.
The implementation of the “Da Nang SMILE” criteria set is part of the city’s long-term strategy to improve service quality, strengthen the cultural tourism brand, and aim to build Da Nang into an attractive and friendly destination, where every smile brings memorable experiences to visitors.
