On October 22, dozens of officers, soldiers and vehicles were mobilized to the coastal area of Hoi An Tay ward, Da Nang city to build temporary embankments, erect stone cages, reinforce sandbags, and prevent waves from directly attacking residential areas.

The coast of Hoi An Tay ward is home to many accommodation facilities and coastal restaurants. Large waves continuously hit. Many sections of the coast have been eroded, leaving only a few meters from the tourist areas.

According to records, the erosion on the coast of Hoi An Tay has been happening for a while, becoming more serious in recent days due to the impact of storm No. 12. Many households are worried as the waves have "eaten" deep into the mainland, some sections are only a few steps away from the shops.
