The 8th Central Party Congress of the Public Security from October 3-5, 2025

The 8th Congress of the Central Party Committee of the Public Security, term 2025-2030, will take place from October 3-5, 2025 at the Headquarters of the Ministry of Public Security, with a total of 350 delegates.

On the afternoon of September 30, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Public Security held a press conference to inform about the 8th Congress of the Central Public Security Party Committee, term 2025-2030 with the theme "Following Uncle Ho's teachings - Renewing thinking - Improving knowledge - Formal, modern - For the Party, for the people."

At the press conference, Major General Nguyen Quoc Toan, Chief of the Office of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Chief of the Ministry Office, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Security, said that the 8th Congress of the Central Public Security Party Committee, term 2025-2030, takes place at a time of special importance, the country is on the threshold of a new era of development.

With the motto "Solidarity, democracy, discipline, responsibility, breakthrough, efficiency", the Congress demonstrates the Party's aspiration and responsibility to continue promoting the 80-year tradition of building, fighting and growing of the heroic People's Public Security force, firmly protecting national security, creating positive changes in social order, participating in national development, contributing to building a rich and powerful country, successfully achieving the goal of 100 years of Party founding, 100 years of National founding.

With the approval of the Politburo , the 8th Congress of the Central Party Committee of the Public Security for the 2025-2030 term will take place in October 2025. Specifically, the Congress will be held for 3 days, from the afternoon of October 3, 2025 to October 5, 2025 (Preparatory session: Afternoon of October 3, 2025; Official session: October 4 and 5, 2025. The Congress will close on the afternoon of October 5, 2025). The Congress will be held at the Great Hall, Headquarters of the Ministry of Public Security, 96 Nguyen Du, Cua Nam Ward, Hanoi City.

Regarding the composition of the Congress, the total number of delegates summoned to attend the Congress includes 350 comrades (24 ex-officio delegates and 326 delegates elected from the congresses of party committees directly under the Central Public Security Party Committee).

The theme of the Congress is: "Following Uncle Ho's teachings - Renewing thinking - Improving knowledge - Formal, modern - For the Party, for the people." Documents submitted to the Congress include: Political report of the 7th Central Public Security Party Committee, term 2020 - 2025; Review report of the 7th Central Public Security Party Committee, term 2020 - 2025; Draft Resolution of the Congress; Draft Action Program to implement the Resolution of the Congress; Draft Working Regulations of the Congress; Draft Working Program of the Congress.

Tasks of the Congress: The Congress has the task of reviewing the implementation of the Resolution of the 7th Congress of the Central Party Committee of the Public Security, term 2020-2025; deciding on the direction, goals and tasks of the Party Committee for the term 2025-2030; reviewing the leadership and direction of the Central Party Committee of the Public Security for the term 2020-2025; discussing and contributing opinions to the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress and electing the Delegation of the Central Party Committee of the Public Security to attend the 14th National Party Congress./.
