Thoroughly grasping the purpose, requirements, content of the Congress, and the responsibilities of delegates, Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Truong Luu said: The Congress is held in the context where the entire Party, people, and army are making efforts to overcome difficulties and challenges, striving to successfully implement the goals and tasks of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 16th City Party Congress. This is a major political event, a broad political activity, demonstrating the will and development aspirations of the Party Committee, army, and people of Hue City.

This Congress has the task of evaluating the implementation results of the Resolution of the 16th City Party Congress and the development plan for the period 2020 - 2025; at the same time, setting out goals, tasks and solutions for the new term. Therefore, the organization of the Congress must ensure the spirit of innovation, practicality, quality, promoting democracy, strengthening solidarity, safety and thrift; demonstrating the intelligence and high responsibility of the delegates.

400 delegates will attend the 17th Hue City Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030

Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Truong Luu said: The Congress will focus on discussing and contributing opinions to the documents submitted to the 14th Party Congress and the draft action program of the City Party Committee. The focus is to correctly assess the implementation of the Resolution of the 16th Party Congress of the City Party Committee; point out the advantages, limitations, causes and draw lessons; clearly define the goals, tasks and solutions for the coming term; focus on important, urgent and strategic issues for the development of the locality; propose viewpoints, policies and development orientations suitable to the new situation.

The Congress will elect the City Party Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term, ensuring quantity, quality and reasonable structure, inheritance and development. The selected comrades must be exemplary cadres, with qualities, capacity, health, meeting the requirements of leadership and direction. At the same time, the Congress will elect a delegation representing the intelligence, will and aspirations of all city Party members to attend the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Truong Luu suggested that each delegate needs to uphold the spirit of responsibility, promote democracy and intelligence, and contribute many profound and practical opinions to ensure the success of the Congress.

At the preparatory session, the Congress also elected the Congress Presidium; elected the Congress Secretariat; elected the Congress Delegate Qualification Examination Committee; approved the Congress's official agenda; approved the Congress's working regulations; disseminated the election regulations; reported on the synthesis of opinions on the draft documents submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party; disseminated the organization work serving the Congress; disseminated the work of ensuring service for the Congress; announced the division of delegate groups and the working locations of the delegate groups.

Speaking at the closing session of the preparatory session, Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Truong Luu said: After an urgent and serious working session, with a high sense of responsibility, the preparatory session of the 17th Hue City Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, completed all the contents according to the proposed program.

Previously, the Standing Committee of the 16th City Party Committee and heads of delegations attending the congress offered flowers at the Ho Chi Minh Museum.

Tomorrow morning (October 3), at the Huong River Theater, the 17th Hue City Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030 officially opened.
